TYPHOON Plastic Wastewater Air Vent allows for the rapid removal of a large amount of air from the pipeline during the initial operation of the system. When the water reaches the wastewater suction sphere, the double-acting plastic suction float attached to the sphere rises and closes the outlet of the suction pad. Thus, due to the compressed air trapped inside, the wastewater is sealed before it reaches the plastic suction cup. The sealing elements of the plastic suction pad continue to perform their functions. During the extraction or discharge of water from the pipeline, the pressure inside the line is lower than atmospheric pressure. This situation, called the vacuum effect, causes collapse and cavitation damage in the pipes.
The float attached to the wastewater suction sphere descends and prevents this problem by providing airflow into the pipeline from the outside. While the system is operating, i.e., when the pipeline is under pressure, a small amount of air is drawn in with the water and accumulates in certain parts of the line. The accumulated compressed air is discharged with the water, and the float attached to the sphere partially opens. After discharge, the float rises again and closes the suction cup outlet.
Thanks to the design of the wastewater suction cup, it can work smoothly in sewer networks by preventing problems such as clogging and damage in wastewater that are common with standard suction cups. It has a long service life thanks to its stainless steel parts and easy cleaning with the ball valve on it.
