Flow Control Valves are hydraulic control valves designed to safely limit the required flow rate in water systems. A pressure difference is created through an orifice located at the valve inlet, and a flow control pilot integrated into the control chamber senses this difference, ensuring the valve remains open at the set flow rate. This ensures the desired flow rate is maintained precisely, regardless of inlet pressure and flow.
These valves not only ensure constant flow but also protect the pump from overload and cavitation, extending system life. In filtration applications, they prevent unnecessary water loss by preventing excessive flow during backwashing. They also limit excessive consumer water demands, ensuring a more efficient and balanced water distribution throughout the network.
