The operating principle of globe valves is based on a disc that moves perpendicular to the fluid flow and engages or disengages from the seat in the valve body. Flow is interrupted when the disc is fully seated in the body, resulting in a complete stop. The reverse movement, when the disc is withdrawn from its seat, releases the flow.

This design maximizes the valve’s sealing and ensures a completely leak-proof seal, making it a reliable solution, especially in systems requiring precise flow control.
