Double Effect (Automatic) Air Valves

Continuous Air Management for Safe and Efficient Pipeline Operation

Double Effect (Automatic) Air Valves are designed to automatically release accumulated air during system operation while also allowing air intake when negative pressure conditions occur. Unlike single-effect valves, these valves provide continuous air management under both pressurized and non-pressurized conditions, ensuring optimal pipeline performance at all times.

During normal operation, small air pockets that form and accumulate at high points in the pipeline are automatically discharged through the valve. This prevents air buildup, which can restrict flow, reduce efficiency, and cause irregular system behavior. In situations such as pipeline draining or sudden pressure drops, the valve allows air to enter the system, eliminating vacuum conditions and protecting the pipeline from structural damage.

Key Features
  • Automatic Air Release Under Pressure
Continuously expels trapped air during operation without interrupting system performance.
  • Vacuum Protection
Allows rapid air intake to prevent negative pressure and potential pipe collapse.
  • Dual Functionality
Combines air release and air intake capabilities in a single compact unit.
  • Reliable Float Mechanism
Operates automatically with a precise and durable internal float system.
  • Long Service Life
Designed for consistent performance in demanding environments with minimal maintenance.

Applications
  • Water transmission and distribution systems
  • Irrigation networks
  • Pumping stations
  • Industrial fluid systems

Why Choose Double Effect (Automatic) Air Valves?

By continuously managing both the release and intake of air, Double Effect Air Valves help maintain steady flow conditions, improve system efficiency, and protect pipelines from air-related damage. They are an essential component for ensuring long-term reliability and operational stability in pressurized pipeline systems.

  1. Working Principles

Plastic air discharge valve operates in 2 modes.

    1. evacuation mode: with the flow of water in the system in some way, the air pipe fills a large amount of the system. When the water reaches the air discharge valve, the valve flat moves up and prevents the water from coming out of the system and removes the air from the system.
    2. system pressure balancing mode: after emptying the air in the system, the system balances the difference between the pressure and atmospheric pressure.
  2. Order information
Please provide the following information in case of order
    • Maximum mains / operating pressure .......................... bar
    • Main pipeline diameter .................................................... mm
