Single Effect (Kinetic) Air Valves are designed to efficiently discharge large volumes of air during the filling of pipelines and to allow air intake during system draining. By managing air movement within the line, these valves play a critical role in preventing operational issues such as air locking, flow restrictions, and pipeline deformation.

During system start-up, air trapped inside the pipeline is expelled at high flow rates through the valve, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted water flow. Likewise, when the pipeline is emptied or pressure drops occur, the valve allows atmospheric air to enter the system, preventing vacuum formation and protecting the pipeline from collapse.

  1. Working Principles

    Plastic air discharge valve operates in 2 modes.

    1. evacuation mode: with the flow of water in the system in some way, the air pipe fills a large amount of the system. When the water reaches the air discharge valve, the valve flat moves up and prevents the water from coming out of the system and removes the air from the system.
    2. system pressure balancing mode: after emptying the air in the system, the system balances the difference between the pressure and atmospheric pressure.
